San Pedro Real Estate


San Pedro is a community within the City of Los Angeles. Located on the far side of the Peninsula, it is home to California's only commercial shipping harbor. Much of the economic activity in the area is dependent on the Port of Los Angeles.

Neighborhoods include the South Shores-adjacent to Rancho Palos Verdes and the ocean, Palisades-adjacent to the South Shores, Point Fermin- southern tip of San Pedro, Vista Del Oro, Plaza, Miraleste Pines, Holy Trinity,  and Barton Hill. San Pedro is home to the Cabrillo Marina and the Ports 'O Call Seaside Village shopping area. 

San Pedro is served by the Los Angeles Unified School District. The District has 12 elementary schools as well as several private elementary schools, two intermediate schools, and San Pedro High School. 

Some popular destinations in San Pedro include White Point Park, Cabrillo Marina,  Cabrillo Beach, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, Friendship Park, Point Fermin Park, Sunken City Ports O'Call, and the Vincent Thomas Bridge. White Point Park, located near the cliffs and tide pools of Royal Palms State Beach, is a great family spot with a children's play area. The Cabrillo Marina offers recreational boaters the closest marina to both Avalon and Catalina Island. Cabrillo Beach offers visitors a sandy beach and pier that extends 1200 feet into the Los Angeles Harbor. It is also a great spot for fishing.  Friendship Park is a 100-acre park with barbecue and picnic areas. Point Fermin Park consists of 37 landscaped acres of lawns, gardens, and a promenade along the Palisades. Ports O'Call Village is an authentic New England style village encompasses shops, restaurants, and attractions.  The Vincent Thomas Bridge originally San Pedro's Golden Gate, connects the 110 Harbor Freeway to Terminal Island and the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
