Redondo Beach Real Estate

Redondo Beach is one of the three Beach Cities in Los Angeles County located in the South Bay. As of 2010, there were 66,748 people living in Redondo Beach. An outgoing community, Redondo Beach is a mix of neighborhoods, people, and activities separate from the beach lifestyle. The main attraction in the city is the Municipal Pier and strand where you'll see surfers year-round, bicyclists, skateboarders, runners, and pro volleyball players such as Kerri Walsh and Casey Jennings.
Redondo Beach is divided into North and South. South Redondo is home to the pier and harbor complex bordering Hermosa Beach with wide sandy beaches and a laid-back feel. It offers several close-knit neighborhoods. The Riviera Village gives locals a common area to eat, shop, and engage with one another. North Redondo is primarily inland. Mostly residential, it offers the South Bay Galleria Shopping Center and the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center-home to the Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities.
The Redondo Beach Unified School District offers nine elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. However, residents living in the 90278 zip code have the option of attending either Redondo Union High School or Mira Cost High School in Manhattan Beach.

Redondo Beach communities are some of the most expensive places to live in the U.S. A three-bed, two bathroom home in South Redondo costs close to $1 million especially for properties close to the beach. Those with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean are sold for over $2 million. North Redondo homes average $900,000 for a three-bedroom, two-bath.
