Palos Verdes Unified School District: Palos Verdes Peninsula High School

When considering what home to buy, the community can be as important a consideration as the real estate itself. 
PVPHS is one of the three public high schools on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The campus is located on the corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Silver Spur Road on the top of the hill overlooking Los Angeles County. It serves the communities of Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Palos Verdes Estates. 
PVPHS ranked 15th in the nation by Newsweek and 89th by U.S. News and World Report. The school offers a variety of courses for students including Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, International Relations, Women's Studies, Forensics, Graphic Design, etc. For the class of 2011, approximately 40 students have a 4.75-5.00 GPA and 65 have a 4.5-4.74 GPA. 
PVPHS athletics has more than 40 CIF titles, 8 state titles, and 4 national titles.
